Annual Eugene Downtown Lions Club picnic another great event
The picnic was hosted by Lion President Judith Grosenick at her home. Last year she was asked to host the picnic at her house and the location was perfect. So when she was asked to sponsor it again this year, of course, she agreed.
The weather for the evening was perfect with plenty of sunshine and temperatures cooling down from the day’s high of 92 degrees. Last year’s picnic was a bit different with a record high temperature for the date of 97 degrees. This time there was a pleasant cooling breeze and plenty of shade in Lion Judith’s back yard.
As usual the food was excellent from the broasted chicken, to the many salads, and freshly cooked corn-on-the-cob.

The desert table was chock full of mouthwatering goodies that were enjoyed by all. That make the evening sound just about perfect and what really made it perfect was the fellowship shared by the members and their guests. The conversations and relaxed atmosphere are the hallmarks of the Eugene Downtown Lions Club.
