A FOND FAREWELL AND A BIG “THANK YOU” FOR PDG GEORGE DEHART During the 36-R Leadership Workshop in Florence on July 12th, PDG George DeHart reported he has tendered his resignation as our District Leadership Chair, an important part of the MERL Team, of which he's been a member for many years. He also announced his replacement, PDG Rod Bach, will be assuming Lion George's responsibility. A big “thank you”, Lion George, for many, many years of exceptional service to our clubs and Lions throughout our multiple district and beyond. We sincerely hope you and Lion Dee enjoy your well deserved rest. DG JACK STOOPS’ CHALLENGE TO 36-R CLUBS The challenge period is from July 1, 2008 to April 30, 2009. Clubs that complete 12 of the 15 challenges will be designated as Model Clubs. Over the next few months your convention committee will be busy lining up great programs, entertainment, food and more to ensure this will be a positive, memorable event for you.
