The Eugene Downtown Lions Club Annual Crab Feed and Auction was a great success again this year. It was held Thursday April 28th at St. Thomas Episcopal Church. About 85 Lions and guests attended the evening of fun. After eating a great meal consisting of crab, or ham for those who didn’t want crab, and a table full of salads and wonderful deserts.

It was then on to the wine raffle.

Lion Gene Gustafson, assisted by Lion Larry Thompson, got things rolling by announcing the winners of the wine raffle. Lion Andrew Miles ticket was the first one picked. Silent auction items were lined up on tables so people could bid on the items throughout the evening. Before starting the oral auction the silent auction bids were tallied so winners could be announced.

It was then up to Lion Jeff Musgrove to auction off the oral auction items which included prizes such as a 2-night stay at Driftwood Shores, a 5-day group getaway at Sunriver, to a golfing good time for a foursome at Shadow Hills Golf course. Kudos go to Lion Jane Olbekson who did a great job of organizing this year’s event which produced an estimated $6,700 for a fun event and fundraiser.
