Lion President Chuck Blanchard
2010-2011
The Eugene Downtown Lions is a group of men and women who are dedicated to serving their community. Lions’ sight and hearing programs are well known locally and around the world. In addition, Eugene Downtown Lions programs and activities support youth, seniors, the needy, the homeless, diabetes awareness, and improving environmental quality. We also support other community organizations that provide serve specific needs and populations in the metropolitan area. Almost everyone can find a cause or causes that he or she can work on. If you do not find a program or activity that interests you, join us in developing one.
Eugene Downtown Lions meets every Wednesday at the Eugene Hilton (W. 6th and Oak). Meetings start promptly at noon and end at 1:00 PM. Meetings are lively, fun and informative. We have a guest speaker every week. Recent speakers have included University of Oregon President Richard Lariviere, Oregon Attorney General John Kroger and Lion Bill Sarnoff who discussed the Psychology of Color. We normally meet on the twelfth floor (great view), but check the hotel activities board for that day to verify the meeting location. I hope to see you there.
Eugene Downtown Lions truly reflects the Lions’ motto “We Serve”. Please join us to help. Refer to our Facebook page for up-to-the-minute information on Eugene Downtown Lions programs and activities. Please call me (541-689-3952) or Vic Bender (541-344-3951) if you questions about either the Lions or about the Eugene Downtown Lions Club.
