I want to welcome you to the Eugene Downtown Lions Website. I hope you will take the time to explore this site and learn more about us.
The mission of Eugene Downtown Lions is to serve our community. We do that in many ways. For example, our Sight and Hearing Committee works with folks unable to afford necessary vision and hearing care. For those individuals and families unable to obtain adequate nutrition, we participate in processing food at the FOOD for Lane County kitchen and in delivering Meals on Wheels.
Through our Community Service program, we work with the local schools on special projects such as Flags for First Graders and the Peace Poster Contest. We provide housing for families from out-of-town receiving care at Sacred Heart Hospital at our CMN/Lions Guest House.
Our concern for the environment is evidenced by our work with the Eugene Parks and Recreation Department on the Joggers’ Pocket Park and the Delta Ponds Project.
While we work hard on our community service projects, we do so in a spirit of fellowship and fun. We work; we serve; we play. If this sounds appealing, come visit the Eugene Downtown Lions and see for yourself.
