Rainbow optics donated 153 exams and 200 pairs of reading glasses. The Lions helped with Rainbow’s effort by manning a table laid out with 200 pair of reading glasses that were purchased by the Bethel Lions from Foster-Grant and 200 pair donated by Rainbow Optics to be given out free of charge to those who needed them. They gave them out to 153 people. The left over reading glasses will be stored safely by Rainbow Optics to be brought back for next year’s event. About 80 other organizations participated in the day’s activities that served hundreds of homeless citizens in just one day.
